The ninth day of the challenge and today’s word was “overcharge” with a location in residential Frederiksberg.

November
The location for the November photo was in a residential area in Frederiksberg not long from my apartment. When I arrived and walked around a bit I was having difficulties finding a good subject for “overcharge”. I hoped to find an extravagant house front or fence or gate, but the houses were pretty ordinary.
Running out of time and ideas I saw an outlet, or plug, in a house walk next to the sidewalk. I opened it and saw a kind of plug I haven’t seen before, and even though I didn’t think was actually an electrical outlet, it was the closest I would come to “overcharge”. I took the picture below.
December
For the December shot I was not in a very inspired place on this day, and I was not really sure how to go out the door and find an outlet in the middle of a wall somewhere in Copenhagen.
So I took the easy solution and took the first indoors picture of the challenge. I found one of the power outlets in the apartment and recreated the original photo from recollection with my hand in the midst of pulling out the plug. Unfortunately I was not aware of the poor lighting, so the picture both underexposed and with a little bit of camera shake. See the photograph below.
Comparison
These are not some of my best photos of the challenge (nor the worst). The first one had a very difficult combination of location and subject and the second lacked imagination and technique. The two photos compared have the same composition even though the distance to the subject is a little different.
Come back tomorrow for the next photos of the challenge. You can also follow me on Instagram, where I also post the photos during this month.
