On the first day of the second half of the challenge I set out to find “passion” in Amager, which would present quite a challenge.
- What: passion
- Where: (55.645,12.60637)
- When: 16-11-2019 and 16-12-2019
November
For the November shot I went to Sundbyvester on Amager in a residential area with apartments and villas. Looking for “passion” I was counting on some nice outdoor project, like an old vintage car or an ornamented house facade or house gate. I found nothing of that sort and had to think a little differently.
On the other side of the street, there was an apartment building with a small strip of grass in front of it. In the grass there was a circle of mushrooms, which stood out quite much in the middle of the city. This became my inspiration for the photo as a passion for nature in the middle of the city. You can see my photograph below.
December
In December I had yet again set too tight boundaries for myself captioning the photo “[…] Mushrooms growing in lawn […]”, so I went for the overall theme of nature in the city instead.
I went to the strip between the metro stations Frederiksberg and Fasanvej next to Copenhagen Business School and found a bush with one of the CBS buildings in the background. I took the photograph below.
Comparison
Even though the photos seem pretty different at first, they are actual quite similar. The theme is the same, though the mushrooms have been replaced with a bush, and the composition is similar, with the nature in the foreground in the bottom, a small patch of grass in the middle, and a building, symbolising the city, in the top background. The colours are even similar, going from light in the bottom to dark in the background.
Come back tomorrow for the next two photos of the challenge, and swing by Instagram where I also post all my photos.
