Day 20 of the challenge was not the best day I’ve had in my life. Today’s word “reluctance” fittingly described the mood together with classic Danish grey weather.

November
In November today was the day after my wife got rejected which meant we were going to move to Norway. Naturally the mood wasn’t the best and “reluctance” described it pretty well.
I went to the location on Islands Brygge by the harbour. The weather was grey and boring, though not rainy, and in the middle of the day, everything seemed sad and desolate, which was perfect for the subject of my photograph. I took the following photo of the harbour.
December
In December in Norway I went for a walk to the local little harbour. This day the weather was also grey and calm. The temperature was freezing but there was no wind and the water in the harbour was still and actually a little bit frozen.
I placed myself on the outer harbour and found and angle of both the harbour and the mainland in the background. You can see the result below. Here the yellowish colour of the otherwise white cloudy sky is even more apparent than the photo from two days ago.
Comparison
The photos are pretty similar in composition though the distance and angle is a bit different. The most evident difference between the photos is the colours; the freezing temperatures in Norway have made everything more yellow and the colours seem much more bright in the Copenhagen photo.
Come back tomorrow for the beginning of the last ten days of the challenge. You can also follow me on Instagram.
